국제전기통신연합(國際電氣通信聯合)

전세계에 걸쳐 전기통신 분야의 표준화를 권장하기 위해 설립된 민간 국제기구. 주 : ITU 의 본부는 스위스 제네바에 있으며, ITU 산하에는 ITU-R 과 ITU-T 가 있음. ITU 는 UN 산하의 전기통신 전문화 기구이다.
A civil international organization established to promote standardized telecommunications on a worldwide basis. Note : The ITU-R and ITU-T are committees under the ITU. The ITU headquarters is located in Geneva, Switzerland. While older than the United Nations, it is recognized by the U.N. as the specialized agency for telecommunications.

불어 Comite Consultatif International Telegraphiq- ueet Telephonique 와 영어 International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee 의 약자로 이 위원회에서 DIRECTIVES(지시서 또는 권고)를 공개하며 그 내용중 유도장해분야는 각국에 미치는 영향이 크다.

궤도회로

궤도계전기의 구성상 뺄 수 없는 요소인 레일를 가진 전기회로.

귀로

전원에서 부하로 전력을 공급하는 회로 또는 선로에서 전류가 되돌아오는 회로. 단일 선로의 경우는 접지측, 왕복 선로에서는 음극측을 말한다. 때 에 따라 접지부를 지칭하여 귀로라고 하는 경우도 있다.
